Benefits of the Becoming an Employer or Self-Employed, Advantages and Disadvantages of Becoming Self-Employed for International.
The course consists of two parts. The first part is Benefits of Becoming an Employer, the second part is Benefit of the self-employed.
First part, explores the advantages and responsibilities associated with becoming an employer. Whether you are an aspiring business owner, manager, or simply interested in understanding the dynamics of the employer-employee relationship, this course will provide insights into the benefits and challenges of becoming an employer. This course will consist of 10 modules, each approximately 45 minutes in length, for a total of 10 weeks.
The second part is will provide international students with a comprehensive overview of the advantages and disadvantages of becoming self-employed. Students will learn about the different types of self-employment, the skills and knowledge required to be successful, and the challenges they may face. Through lectures, case studies, and group discussions, students will develop a critical understanding of the self-employment landscape and whether it is the right career path for them.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Define self-employment and identify the different types of self-employed businesses.
- Explain the advantages and disadvantages of becoming self-employed, including financial, lifestyle, and personal considerations.
- Assess their own skills, knowledge, and interests to determine if self-employment is a good fit for them.
- Develop a business plan for a self-employed business, including marketing, financial, and operational strategies.
- Identify and mitigate the challenges faced by self-employed businesses, such as lack of job security, irregular income, and social isolation.
